Good morning and thank you for your patience on the updates! We are now a few weeks out from a fantastic Gary Con and moving full-steam on finalizing production. We do not anticipate the tariffs causing us any difficulties as we head to the finish line, but we will post here if any of that changes. We are printing in the US and, as such, our price quotes remain stable.
Luke had a great time running Wrath of the Sea Lich at both Genghis Con and Gary Con this year - but, as expected, there were a few things to clean up with the conversion. Once we meet and perform that emergency surgery, it'll be off to layout.
We've also brought Bryan C.P. Steele on-board to help with some of the conversion mechanics. Bryan helped bring Night of the Revenant, another Shadowdark Adventure we recently finished to life and we're excited to have him on this project as well.

Greetings Backers,
I wanted to chime in and give you all a quick update on where we are with Wrath of the Sea Lich. The manuscript is done and ready to go to print. We are looking at the best options due to a lot of uncertainty with tariffs. As you all likely know there isn’t much room for additional expenses in a small print run for an independent publisher. With that said we forecast May to begin fulfillment and we will press to achieve that.
Otherwise we have been very busy creating new material at Gaxx Worx. I rebranded the company as Gygax Ink in January, and changed the Gaxx Society to the Gygax Society (Patreon.com/gygaxsociety). I did this to increase awareness that these were my products (Luke Gygax), and to avoid any confusion with others using a similar name.
We have three products debuting at Gary Con next month and it’s been a full court press. I co-authored the Madness in Geneva Lake an officially licensed product for Call of Cthulhu to help celebrate the 50th anniversary of Chaosium. I co-authored a Shadowdark scenario called Night of the Revenant and we will have a 90 page (or so) Okkorim setting guide available as well. It is mostly the City of Chentoufi and is meant as a sample of what the full 300 page setting book will look like later this year.

Genghis Con and Gary Con Expedition Games

Overdue Update!

Greetings Backers,
Happy holidays! Its been too long since we updated you. Don't worry we are flowing along the process as planned. I thought Matt was sending them and he thought I was sending them, which got us where we are today. My sincere apologies for not giving you the information.
Dyson got all his final maps in earlier this week. We had a few tweaks that needed him to go over them again, and he had some other competing projects etc. Bottom line is they are in. Brian CP Steele has finished his final review and edits. He sent in the finished word document last week iirc. Phil Stone and others art is in place. We have the elements in and will get it into layout after the holidays are over.
One potential concern is where we will go for printing. The president elect has stated that we may add 20% or higher tariffs on China and Mexico, and perhaps other countries. Tariffs cost the importing company not the exporting company. In other words I would have to add an additional 20% (or whatever the tariff is) in the cost of goods. That large of an expense would crush any profit and may mean a loss- yikes! As a result we are looking at options domestically and internationally to get a high quality hardback produced. This may delay production however we are committed to producing the book as promised. In short, this should be transparent to you other than maybe creating a longer production window and later shipping date. I hope not, but I'd rather prepare for a delay now and tell you than not.
Genghis Con is coming up soon! I consulted with my friends at Gooey Cube and deconflicted my calendar. We are all set for the game FRIDAY, February 21st, 2025 at 5pm. I may be able to take another player or two, so if you are coming and want to get in on the game email me ([email protected]).
In other news, I am deep into Gary Con planning for GC XVII March 20-23. We have about 2400 events in from OD&D to Shadowdark to Call of Cthulhu to Magic. go to play.garycon.com to learn more. I will have a special guest -Steve Chenault- on Luke's Lounge on New Year's Day at 4pm pacific/7pm Eastern. We will talk about the Gary Gygax Archives and the first Castle Zagyg crowdfunding campaign coming up in the first quarter of 2025. I recently got to guest on a new show in production at Titmouse Studios, Draw Your Weapons. Its D&D with some crazy artists that work in the adult cartoon world, and you have to draw your character, an item in the game etc while you play. And I voiced a character for a new D&D pinball machine in production from Stern Inc. It was my first professional VO work and it was great! I hope to do some more.
Gaxx Worx will have a few more crowdfunding projects coming in 2025. The main one is my World of Okkorim: The Blighted Lands setting book. We have a few adventure scenarios that we may crowdfund including Rogue's Gambit, Tower of Akbaba and Night of the Revenants (SD). I am working on a big Greyhawk project with Stephen Radney MacFarland, Jay Scott and Anna Meyer called Melf's Guide to Greyhawk: The Borderlands fo Iuz. That will be through DMs Guild and out around AUG 2025.
I hope you are all doing and feeling well as we head into the holidays and begin a new year. I truly appreciate your support as I work on these projects. 2024 was a very busy year with the 50th anniversary and a lot of travel. It was also amazign to meet so many gamers worldwide and hear the stories of what RPGs mean to them, and how it impacted their lives. I am always happy to meet fellow gamers and chat, so if you see me come and say hello!

We're less than an hour until the end of the campaign, and we've unlocked all the stretch goals we posted! Thank you for all of your support.
This is your last chance to back pledge for Matt Everhart to virtually GM two 4-hour sessions with you and up to 5 of your friends, or pledge for one seat at Genghis Con with Luke Gygax as your GM! They will not be available when the campaign is over.
